(no subject)
MY SIX-MONTH PHD PROGRAM OF STUDY PROPOSAL IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, not quite done, it's been emailed to my supervisor and she will hopefully not hand it back to me with tooo many suggestions! I can't believe what a mission that was to do... I suspect partially by merit of it being the first big academic thing I've written in two years, and partly because it was all about making decisions about the next couple years of my life and decisions and I don't go so well together...but I got so stuck, it took me two entire sleepless weeks to write the first two paragraphs (and then two days to write the remaining 4500 words. Funny how that happens). Anyway, sleepy sleeepy as can be but so relieved that it's done :)
In other news od busy-ness...second last night of Stratagem tonight! It's been going well...we got an excellent review in the West on Tues which means we've had many more people in the audience this week. And I'm having fun playing Joe's Chinese zither now (finally figured it out after two and a bit weeks!)...want to steal it away and learn it properly after the show, I've been watching videos of proper musicians playing it on YouTube and it's pretty awesome. Will be sad when the play is over, but looking forward to being less busy in a few days time...have grand plans for sleep, bicycle riding, wandering the wild-flower-laden hills near my parent's house, and watching mindless movies tucked up on a couch..
In other news, the first of the poppies in my garden burst into flower yesterday and it is making me happy.
