that article was so ridiculous! one of my friends down here posted it in facebook and said "i'm so glad i never moved to nyc." uh, hello? if that's what's considered "slumming it," then everyone everywhere is slumming it. and i liked how it introduced the concept of "pre-gaming." gasp! you mean people actually live like that?

oh honestly. my salary is far south of $60k and i spend the vast majority of it on my west village rent and food, but i am not so deluded to think that what is actually EXTRAVAGANT is SLUMMING
