Yesterday while I was cleaning and organizing my art supplies I found an unused exacto knife still in it's package. Naturally I took that as an excuse to stop working immediately and make an x-men papercut instead. I also finished all my christmas cards a solid two month ahead of christmas. I've been shamefully neglecting all my art for the a/e match in favour of making a new block print during the past week. I wanted to try something a bit more challenging, so I decided to make a two color reduction print and I'm happy to say that things worked out, not completely without glitches but still pretty good.

So I've been doing some block printing again and it went much much better than my last attempt. As much as I like textures I'm pleased that I managed to get crisper prints this time around and I even carved a whole linoleum tile without cutting myself. I still wish that I cut find softer lino tiles somewhere or these rubbery stamp carving blocks ( Read more... )
