My Dad and his girlfriend are doing an acoustic set at the Bear Rock Cafe in Shirlington as we speak. If you like roots-rock or country, they'll be playing a bit of both tonight. Next Monday I'm going to brave open mic at the JV again. Keep me company if you like, or come along and play. I'll be doing a song with my Dad this time. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll work on not stopping in the middle of one of my songs and shouting the f-bomb repeatedly. 'Cause I seem to do that about 30% of the time at current.

Dear iPod,

I performed at a rather packed-out open mic. The performances went on until a quarter after 1 in the morning. And I didn't choke, forget lyrics, or screw up a single guitar chord. Hurrah!
