Hooray!
I got a card yesterday asking me to be a bridesmaid at my friend Rachel's wedding. I'm all a-smile. *grin* I've never been part of the wedding party before. Squee!
I've known Rachel longer than any of my other friends... In fact, we've known each other for almost sixteen years, now. We went to school together in the 4th and 5th grades, and we've managed to stay friends through separate high schools, colleges 2000 miles away from each other, and Rachel entering the Navy.
Her fiancee is an awesome guy, too-- but then, Rachel would never have anything to do with someone who wasn't. She picks carefully.
I don't think there's anything a bridesmaid is responsible for other than walking in the procession and standing up front while the bride and groom do their thing... is there? Hmm... I'm pretty sure I know who the other bridesmaid is going to be. I'll get together with her and find out if there is anything we're responsible for plotting.
