The Best Day of My Life:
On Sunday August 5th, 2007 I went on a road trip to Toronto with my brother, Tom, and my Bestest, Caitlin. It was the Best day of my life. Notice how the "Best" is Capitalized. It was THAT good. For those of you who know me can already predict what I am going to write about because i talked about it for the past million years- guaranteed. ANYWAY! I saw Daft Punk Live in concert! and you my friends are jealous! It was amazing! Easily the best concert that I will ever attend and also easily the best day of my life. There was a huge line outside of the hall and there were sooo many different people there. All Ages, styles, races, and more? I dont know either! Only Daft Punk could bring together the stoners and goth kids and gangster boys and preppy girls, and all those other people who were wearing rainbow outfits and crazy makeup and had ridiculously stylish hair. And it wasnt tense either- everyone was excited and friendly and smoking L's in the parking lot. LOL
Daft's opener the Rapture was alright. Mad fun to dance to and pretty groovy but obviously the crowd was anxious for daft punk.
When they came on the crowd went nuts. There were over 6,000 heads mind you! It was awesome. The lights and the tehcno were unbelievable! The fact that a tech crew could synchroize all of that so perfectly was unreal! It was breath taking. I was freaking out and screaming so loud! It was great. Aside from Digital Love, Daft Punk Played all of my favorite songs and they had awesome segway and remixes. Caitlin and I were talking about how techno is awesome because you can remix the remixes- and they did!
Everyone in the crowd was jumping and dancing and screaming and they didnt stop for the entire concert. We saw people on E, on acid, smoke various things right in the concert hall, and of course, visit the white china baby. When the concert was over everyone was screaming for like 10 more minutes. I really thought that there would not be an encore. We were screaming and clapping for sooo long but FINALLY, daft punk came back out and their suits and helmets lit up and it was amazing! wow. I dont even know.
obvioulsy this description doesnt do the concert justice and nothing ever will but It was the best day of my life and I was so sad that it was over and I love daft punk and I want to see them again and I think you all should tooo and I love this run on sentence so there.
Anyway, Toronto was awesome and beautiful and I want to marry Daft Punk!
