A quick catch-up.
This is gonna be as quick as I can make it. I’m terribly congested and want nothing more than to lay on the couch and watch six or seven hours of Mystery Diagnosis, but to fend off any further questions, here is a blog.
Many of you have heard that the tour ended early - this is true. We ended up doing the entire east coast and then calling it quits for a couple of reasons that all seemed to stem from one problem. Jeff hired a publicist, Laura. We met her in Boston, and she seemed very nice. Unfortunately, she wasn’t really doing her job; there was no publicity in the cities we visited, so no one was coming to the shows (which ultimately, Laura could not have forced anyone to show up, and I know this, but even searching through the papers we were supposed to have spots in we found only one-line ads and saw no fliers or any other kind of publicity like we expected). Deciding that touring the country to play shows to ten or fewer people each night wasn’t worth it, we took the money and ran. We’re back in PA now, and with Jeff’s loan money we plan to re-record How Could I Love Another and submit it to Edge of the X as well as playing a few local shows. We are still giving the two shows in Chicago on March 5 and 7 (and going to see Watchmen on the 6th!), but other than that, the tour from Louisiana on has been called off.
I’ll keep everyone up to date on anything else that comes up. Right now, I’m just not in a blogging mood. If you wanna keep up with me right now, check out Twitter, I’m on there non-stop, and yes, I’m Paperclippe. :D
