For all my Pittsburghers:

Comcast has made the decision to drop WBGN from it’s local service. WBGN is the station which carried the It’s Alive! Show. I sent them this letter, and I encourage you to send something as well. You can send complaints to Linda_Hossinger@cable.comcast.com

Dear Linda,
I have just been made aware of your decision to drop WBGN from Pittsburgh Comcast Cable service, and am sorely disappointed in your actions.  The It’s Alive Show is a very important part of alternative Pittsburgh culture; removing it is like getting rid of the South Side.
I have already made the decision to drop Comcast’s internet service in favor of Verizon FIOS, not just because of the dramatic difference in speed and the rate increase and speed decrease that comes with your “extra push” of high speed internet, but because of your decision to partner with the RIAA and limit free expression across the internet.  Now that you have dropped WBGN, a station which carried my favorite show, I may drop Comcast all together in favor of a better provider.
You have removed a piece of Pittsburgh culture from your station, and if you choose to stand  by this decision, I will remove you from my Pittsburgh home.

Thank you for your time,
Melissa Beall
