Jingyo
From the beginning, Eunhyuk had always been a little wary of Kwon Jiyong. His G-Dragon persona was charismatic and frankly, quite intimidating. He also knew that he and Chaerin were close and that Jiyong doted upon Chaerin. So when he saw G-Dragon picking up and spinning his girl around as said female squealed in glee, he did not do anything although his entire body wanted to physically protest. His face froze in a cool expression to mask his emotions.
“Jingyo-oppa!” Chaerin exclaimed once she was set down. “I didn’t know you were back from Japan already. You should have called me!”
“What kind of surprise would that have been?” Jiyong replied, giving her a light shove. Eunhyuk barely restrained himself from breaking that hand. When was Chaerin going to acknowledge his presence?
“Ah!” It seemed as if she had read his mind. “Oppa, meet Hyukjae, the one I’ve been telling you about.” If it were not for his seething jealousy, he would have been pleased that she had spoken of him so frequently.
“We’ve met before, Chaerin-ah,” Jiyong replied. He bowed the full 90 degrees, as was polite. Eunhyuk almost wanted him not to so he could have more reason to be angry. “Eunhyuk-sunbaenim, it’s nice to meet you again.”
He greeted his junior politely, as was necessary. There was a loud ring, breaking the tension that had been building and Chaerin picked up her phone. She motioned that she had to answer the call and she moved away. Eunhyuk and Jiyong were left to themselves, facing the direction Chaerin had gone off to and failing to meet each others’ eyes. A silence fell upon them.
“So you’re dating my girl?” Jiyong said suddenly. Eunhyuk’s head snapped to face him. Chaerin had told him? Jiyong continued in a light tone, “Chaerin-ah is my favorite girl. If you shatter her heart, I will shatter your face.” He began examining his fingers as if he didn’t just threaten his senior. “Then we’ll see how you fare afterwards.”
Eunhyuk recognized the undertones in the lightly delivered threat. Facing away from him again, he retorted in a similar tone, “Chaerin is my girl now. If you dare try to steal her away from me, I will retrieve your bones from your body one by one. See how you fare afterwards.”
Silence fell between them once more as Eunhyuk let his threat settle.
The two turned to face each other simultaneously and shook hands before turning to face the direction that Chaerin had gone off to once again. Chaerin waved at them from at a distance before returning to her conversation.
“Now that we’ve come to that understanding, I read about your SM Town concert in LA,” Jiyong said conversationally. “How did that go?”
“It went well, we were received fairly well…”
“Really? I’ve always wanted to do a concert in LA.”
“It definitely was a gamble for the company.”
“Yeah? Tell me more…”
Chaerin finally ended her phone conversation and returned to two of the most important men in her life. She was surprised and pleased that they were having a fairly comfortable conversation.
“Oppa, we have to leave if we want to make it to our dinner reservation on time,” Chaerin told Eunhyuk as she neared. She turned to Jiyong and hugged him once more. “I’ll see you at the office?” He nodded in response. Chaerin turned to Eunhyuk, lacing her fingers through his hand and leading him to the car.
Eunhyuk trailed obediently after her. On impulse, he turned around once more. He met Jiyong’s frank gaze and read their mutual understanding in his eyes. Satisfied, he returned his full attention to his girl once more.
Kiss
Their first kiss was accidental. They were watching a movie at the theater and turned to each other to comment at the same time, bumping lips awkwardly in the process. Eunhyuk then took the lead over the inexperienced girl.
Their second kiss was not accidental. After the initial kiss, an awkward tension had grown between them, despite their best efforts otherwise. Chaerin blushed heavily underneath her make-up whenever she was in his presence during music shows and he stumbled over his words whenever he tried to call her.
Eunhyuk decided enough was enough, texting her to meet him at their usual spot and stalking out of his dressing room. Once he arrived in their hidden backstage corner, he barely had time to comprehend that Chaerin was already there before her lips crashed upon his and his hands were gripping her hips.
Needless to say, the two were vastly different experiences.
Lavender
Eunhyuk knew he was in love with Chaerin when he first smelled the lavender scent of her perfume and he unconsciously began trailing after the source of the scent. He was sorely disappointed when it led him to a candle instead.
Members
Eunhyuk had planned exactly how he would tell his members that he was seriously dating someone. He would gather all the members into the living room, sit them down and tell them very frankly that he was dating someone who was very important to him before revealing her identity. He would calmly give them time to ask questions, which he would in turn answer very seriously and then the matter would be resolved.
He told Chaerin of his plan and she approved after giving him a strange look. (“What’s wrong with it?” he asked. Chaerin raised an eyebrow. “Do you really think Super Junior can sit in a living room calmly enough for you to do that?” He waved her off. “We’re mature adults. It’s not like we haven’t done it before.”)
So he gathered his members in the living room as planned. They, however, were not sitting as calmly as he had imagined. He blocked a pillow being thrown at his face and could barely hear himself think over the cacophony of noise that was a Super Junior meeting. He felt a pang when he counted 10 members and realized that 3 more would not be there, but quickly shook it off. After all this time, it was still hard to get used to having only 10.
“YAH!” he yelled loudly. “LISTEN!” Surprisingly, everyone quieted. Eunhyuk was caught off guard for a moment - he didn’t think that would actually work. Only Kangin could get everyone quiet like that.
“What is it, Hyukkie?” Leeteuk patiently asked.
“I’m… uh…” Eunhyuk’s brain could not form any coherent thought.
“Ooh! Are we playing charades? I love charades!” Sungmin exclaimed.
“You’re a tree!” Ryeowook shouted.
“A stick!”
“A large pole!”
“A turtle!”
“What the hell, Jongwoon-ah?”
“He looks like he’s curling up, hyung. Don’t you think he looks like a turtle?”
“An elephant!”
“Shhh, I think he might be a bit sensitive about his weight right now.”
“What do you mean right now? Idols are always sensitive about their weight.”
"No!" Eunhyuk exclaimed. He began shuffling back and forth in confusion. "I--"
“You’re… playing soccer!”
“Baseball!”
“You’re a chicken!”
“Tree!”
“I’m dating someone!"
“You’re a duck!"
"No, Kyuhyun-ah, he's definitely a snake of some sort..."
“I’m dating someone,” Eunhyuk repeated.
“Yes, yes, we all knew this, Hyukjae,” Leeteuk waved off. “The one thing we don’t know is who?”
“What, you knew about it?” replied Eunhyuk, shocked. He thought he was being careful. He wondered who else knew.
“No one knows you better than we do,” Siwon replied calmly. They had suspected he was starting to see someone because he had stopped pestering each of them as often as he used to. He was even more often on his phone, if that were possible. Every time he received a text in public, he would ignore it and read it in private later. “Of course we would notice when you’re paying special attention to someone else. Now who is it?”
“It’s…” Eunhyuk hesitated.
“Don’t tell me you’re dating an idol,” Heechul said suspiciously. Silence. “YOU’RE DATING AN IDOL?! Is it Sohee?! Who!?”
“No, it’s not Sohee!” Eunhyuk was quick to reply. “She’s not from JYP. Or from SM.”
“YG?” Sungmin threw out. He shook his head. “No, you would never go for a YG girl.” Silence.
“YOU’RE DATING A YG GIRL?” Shindong shouted. “Which one is it?”
"Well there's only four of them."
"Isn't the youngest 17 years old? Are you preying on minors now, Hyukjae? Is this what this is about? Are you asking for an intervention?"
“It’s CL,” Donghae replied for Eunhyuk, exasperated. He was tired of having to keep silent for his friend. “He’s dating 2NE1’s leader.” Wide eyes surrounded him. They had not expected that at all.
“YOU WENT AND STOLE YG’S GOLDEN GIRL? ARE YOU ASKING FOR DEATH?”
“Can you even handle her?"
“Do you speak in rap to each other?”
Eunhyuk was startled when Leeteuk suddenly stood up and grabbed his shoulder. “Lee Hyukjae,” he said seriously. “Don’t ever break that girl’s heart. Her sunbaes are all male and I would not be surprised if they’ve all been in fights before. We cannot protect you well if you break her heart. And most importantly-“ He grabbed Eunhyuk by the face, looking seriously into his eyes. “If you break her heart, she will dedicate a song to you and every girl in Korea will have it as their ringtone, and it will be their theme song for revenge against all males. Do you want that, Eunhyuk? Do you want to be the source of males’ grievances all over the country? You do not cheat on her, Eunhyuk. Do not. For the sake of all men in Korea.” Leeteuk let go of his dongseng’s face and coolly sat back down in his seat.
“So…” Ryeokwook said slowly. “When do we meet her?”
