This idea for a story popped into my head while trying to work on spn_gen_bigbang today, and oh god, I do not need this right now! Because it's all new and shiny when the story I should be working on is sounding like crap! That's not even the worst part: this new one is RPS ... J2 RPS ... I don't write RPS! I don't even write Het. And up until a couple of months

Aw, no, can't say I've seen that fic. Um, can you write two things at once? Like, say, if you write 1k of your gbb (and I am so impressed that you're already on a draft, that's fantastic) you get to write 1k of your awesome rps AU? Or are you more of a 'in the zone' sort of writer, where once something starts you either finish it before starting the next thing or abandon it when you move on?

Hmm, I would say I'm more of an 'in the zone' type. The rps can be put on the back burner til the other is done, which gives me time to come up with an outline for it ... Plus, there's probably a bucket load of lawyerly crap I need to figure out before I can even start that.

Yeah, I kind of know how you feel. I never would've thought I'd write RPS either (I read it, but had no plans to write it) but now a friend of mine recently gave me an idea she really wants me to write and it's grown on me. So now I REALLY want to write it, too! It'll likely be awhile though with RL and all, plus it's kind of dark-ish and perhaps somewhat cliché (plus she only gave me some of the ideas and it needs more of a plot which is entirely eluding me :-P). So, anyway, nope, I don't think I've read your idea. :-)

Also, I just got your latest chapter beta-ed, but I have to transfer my notes off my iPod and to my computer so I can edit docs. I'm not 100% I'll be able to until next weekend. :-( But at least there's really hardly anything to do to it. :-)
