...Meinong posited four types of elementary acts: passive cognitive (representations, or Vorstellungen), active cognitive (judgments), passive emotional (feelings), and active emotional (desires). He investigated the relationships between fantasy and realistic experiences in this context (for example, his study of assumptions), and located the experience of valuation in the area of feelings and desires (for example, his work on emotional presentation).
