There's always next year, right?

Didn't get the MUNY job. Oh well. Guess I'll "try again next year." Let's see...what sort of singer-shows could there possibly be next year (2008)? After some thought and amateur analysis of repertoire cycles, here's a few guesses in order of likelihood (highest to least):

  • Fiddler on the Roof (very popular title; usually comes back every 5 years)
  • My Fair Lady (very likely)
  • South Pacific (popular title)
  • Evita (though it's not purely all about singing)
  • Camelot

  • Things to remember for next year's (potential) callback:

1.) Ditch the "dancer look" because you're a singer.
2.) Learn (and coach) a callback song well beforehand. (really should have known this one above all else...so embarrasing!)
3.) Don't be so impatient. (I could explain, but it's yet another embarrassing story...)
