Boldly Seeking the End of teh Internetz....

So the new job is a little slow to start. The first week I did nothing but roam the lonesome crowded internet, looking for a little fun. I also spent a lot of time staring at my desk and doing little experiments, seeing how much water I can drink in an hour, counting how many times people walk by my office to go to the break room and seeing how fast I can minimize theonion.com. That sort of thing.

I'm actually doing a little work now and it's not half bad. Most of the assignments the give me they tell me can take all day really only take about an hour. There's only so much internet I can surf before I wonder if they're serious about their time frames here.

So far I like everyone, but there's only one or two people below the age of 30, so it's hard to find common grounds. I haven't even tried to discuss music tastes yet, but no one in the office commented on my Tool shirt last week. At leasr I didn't get in trouble for it like I did at my last job. Meh...

Trey is reeeeeeally itching to buy a house soon. Make me wonder what the heck I should do financially. I want to be smart and invest in a home, too, but I don't think it's wise if I'm not married and out from under these school loans. I have great credit so I could potentially go in on the deal, but it could take me ten years to pay off the school loans. Grr, I'll probably have to do some research. I have the time at work at least.

I'm also going to call and have my Honda shipped to Washington. It's not doing me any good in Oklahoma and I need the better gas mileage for my commute to Poulsbo.

If I have time today, I'll also buy my plane ticket to visit Oklahoma in August. I wish I'd ordered it a month ago before the airlines were all fucked.

Eh, back to work I guess. It's Friday and I have a headache. Lame.
