UPDATE: My newest contract will be in Portland, OR for six months as a security workflow consultant (back in November I got my security cert, which is basically like winning Wonka's golden ticket)! It's purely back end work, which means: NO HOSPITAL ROTATION! I don't think I can go out on the floor ever again unless it's to an outpatient clinic, I don't have the stamina to deal with anything inpatient.
One of the best parts is that everything is on per diem, so I'll be working M-Th and then flying back home every week for a 3 day weekend. It's almost a 1.5 hr flight, so my total commute time (including waiting in airports) will be like 5 hours a week - shorter than if I worked in downtown Sacramento and had to drive daily! Ridiculous!
