Okay, so on a whim (after looking at our bank account), I decided it was time to be proactive. I plotted my comeback as a piano teacher, with the added benefits of theory and history lessons and tutoring. I posted some free online adverts. I made pretty posters, with those tear-off thingies on the bottom.

If you have any connections in the public school system - especially choral teachers - you should ask that teacher to recommend you to students. In fact, anyone you can think to call that would be a lead to students is a good idea. For example, if you know any piano teachers already - ask them if they're filling up and could give you their overflow. Or, if they have kids taking RCM exams and could send them to you for coaching on theory/history/ear training.

1) Zoodles are superior to Scarios. I'm sorry, but it has to be said. Especially when eaten with bread and butter, and you spoon a little of the Zoodles onto the bread, and you fold it over like a bread envelope and shove the whole thing in your mouth before the hot red saucy stuff drips all over your hands.
2) I share the burden of coming to the realization I like this God-foresaken city and must now think of some way of breaking said news to such far away individuals as family and the like.
