California day 1-Sunday
Try to keep this brief without too much detail.
Arrived way early to get my car but they gave it to me. The guy started really giving me the Heebie Jeebies when he asked me how many miles I planned on driving. I was like it should be unlimited. Oh I just wanted to know.. His possible revenge. He gave me a car with Oregon Plates. Never seen that before.
Couldn't check into my hotel until 2. It was cold and rainy so not really a day to sit and enjoy the beach. I had seen a sign for a mineral and gem show. Guess Carla was right they would have some "special" stones when I got here. I have been getting into stones for spiritual and such things. I had picked some up at the Pow-wow. Wasted some time at Wally world. Got a new craft project due to the weather. Picked up some canvases and supplies for painting. It was time for the show so off I went. Saw some really cool things. And they of course had soem vendors and even more fun is kid orientated things. like a six pack of minerals or stone. And then another place that had grab bags and other things for cheap. I ended up with a nice piece of rose Quartz, a larger piece of Blue Tigers eye-polished. and some other sweet finds for cheaper then I had gotten my smaller blue tigers eye and quartz. I will add a photo of my finds later. Spent like 3-4 hours there. And got a cool glass dolphin that has a flaw in the middle of a stream of little air bubbles through the heart of it.
Instead of checking into the hotel after picking up hot soup from my old haunt. I had this call to go to "my beach". So off I went. Low and behold it wasn't raining at my beach. And I felt warmer. I didn't even need my jacket at first. I sat on the rise and looked and listened while enjoying my soup. My eyes were drawn to the water. And what did I see was a dark shape I was thinking it was a bird until it lifted up and I could see the shadow of it's body in the wave and how it shifted. A seal. I was content. continued to enjoy my soup and my eye was drawn to another spot. There was my little plume and a dorsal fin. A dolphin. My day was complete. I was at peace.
Got some goodies at Trader Joe's. Fruit, hummus and crackers.
My clear 4G isn't in the area. Guess I should have changed to 3G long ago. but at least I have my pixi and it's mobile Hot Spot.
Today I am going to go have fun at Fry's I think before the Black friday madness. BEyond that who knows....
