DISGUISE

Countless times I weep without contain

Seeking refuge with much disdain

Hide my sorrow from the world around

But the pain within  -, that awful sound

To mask my horrible state I plea

I can’t but cry and weep and tear

Then the ideas of dreaded souls

Hitched through my thoughts for claim

Disguise is all I thought I had

Engulfed with ideas that withers though

So stood outside the pavement glad

With no recant I thought I mad

I did my weeping in the rain

Friends, foes and passers by

Tears or rain no one could tell

I looked as though I enjoyed my state

But I did my weeping in the rain

To mask the sheer of wetted face

Not by rain but mere disgrace

To hide the sting of blurry eyes

Caused by tears of fears of my demise

I did my weeping in the rain
