Ringer thoughts and CW hatelove
Is anyone else sticking with Ringer? I'm finding it a little predictable and a lot soapy, but it's a fun guilty pleasure show. Some spoilery thoughts on tonight's episode.
I am not lying. Nestor's extreme hotness is what's keeping me most involved with this show. XDD The plot has been kind of predictable so far, and the acting is not great from everyone (I'm already over the affair-with-best-friend's-husband storyline). Though I do like when we get to see SMG as twins in the same scene, and tonight's flashbacks were kind of cool. And it was nice to see Leila from Dexter making an appearance! Still waiting for Husband to figure out what's going on, probably after they have sex or something. XDDD
Best part of the episode? When Nestor showed up at the party wearing my favorite of all dress outfits on a man--sportcoat with dress shirt, no tie, slightly unbuttoned. HNNNNG. I mean, seriously, the man can WORK a buttondown. *fans self*
Not sure if I'll keep up with this show every week once my Thursday shows come back, but I'll be dvr-ing it.
A note of interest: this is the first CW show I've ever actually watched live. THERE WERE SPN PROMOS. I was in the middle of some schoolwork during the commercials when I heard Sammy's voice and OMGGGG. I got all fluttery in my stomach and excited and then I remembered I'M NOT CAUGHT UP. XDDDD
To be fair, I know a little of what happens later in the show. It's impossible to avoid it if I want to be even a little active in the fandom. But I don't know how or why these things happen, which is enough to keep me reasonably un-spoiled. But seriously, the new season looks NUTS. I'm really tempted to skip ahead so that I can watch them live with you all, but I cannot do that. If I didn't like the show as much I wouldn't care, I'd just jump to the new ones and catch up along the way. But I'm really invested in it now and I want to see how it all plays out.
I'm still slowly working my way through season 2, in case anyone is wondering where I am. I'm a little bit in love with Jo, but then, who isn't? :P
