Note: I have given up titling these. I don't care so much. Although, it is helpful to keep track of them.

Sunday was the day from hell. Lisa's (my roommate's) boyfriend decided to surprise her a while back by taking her to Chicago to see Blue Man Group, and yesterday was D-day. Up at 7 to shower and then be on the road by 8. I was driving with Jen and we accidentally went 30 minutes out of our way. More than that, it was Jen and me in one car while Alice, Amanda, Amanda, Megan, and Chelsea took the other car. Um, excuse me? I had to fill my car with gas twice--so did they--which cost $80. So now Jen has to foot $40 in gas money while each of them need only pay around $16. Guess how pissed I am about THAT one.

After the awful 4 hour drive to Chicago, we sat through a completely unimpressive show. Yes, I laughed a lot, but when they were doing their acts with the food? I wanted to throw up. We were sitting in row AA, right dead center. So I expected to get paint on me. Instead, I got mashed up banana (i.e. barf) splattered on me. I hate banana. I hate the smell, the taste, the texture, everything. I was not appreciative of that. The entire show was really a let down. I expected more musicality, something along the lines of Stomp. Hell, I've heard Blue Man Group described as "the new Stomp" and I'm sorry, but they have nothing on Stomp.

Then we drove back to Chicago. Jen and I didn't want to try to play convoy with the other three cars, so we just drove, paused for gas and food to eat in the car, and made it home two hours before everyone else. They stopped at Denny's.

The whole weekend was lacking, I have to be honest. Driving 8 hours to see a 2 hour show? Meh. Not something I'd do again. Unless it was for something I already know would be amazing, like Wicked or Hairspray. In the mean time? Thank you, no?
