Morgan and Hobbes had a good time out and it was fun playing with the rats today. I have some cute pics of Bert and Bastian. Today I gave them playtime first even though I knew that would rile up Morgan. He always needs to play first because if he smells Bert and Bastian he will get aggressive thinking everything is them. It did indeed rile him up and I nearly avoided my foot being bitten ): I wish I could get him neutered this month but Gidgett is getting her melatonin implant and I need to buy a car asap ): Guess neuters are next month. After a towel thrown over him and a spritz of water he calmed down enough for me to get back into the room. He really is a sweet boy, just territorial to other rats and male aggressive. Sometimes I feel bad for Hobbes having to deal with his being rough at times but I know Hobbes loves him. There are no wounds so I guess everything is fine. Still really sucks having to have two sets of play times and having to have Bert and Bastian be last everyday. I get tired after one and feel I don't give the second set enough play attention.
Bastian is becoming a loving squish. He hates the process of being extracted from his cage but once he is he will sit on my lap and brux and boggle. A rat boggle is so hilarious, their eyes vibrate in and out as their teeth grind louder. It's so funny and is a sign of contentedness. Bert is putting on a few grams and has some skin flaps now that are pretty hilarious. It's fun to see him groom and move his flaps around so he can groom underneath him. Hobbes enjoys being petted by me and is starting to compete with Bert on the heart rat position. He's a loving boy and enjoys sitting on my computer desk being petted when he tires from being out. He's also a world champion yogie eater and can wolf those things down like crazy.
He just boggled.
And now Morgan is grooming my hand, or was until I went to type this.
I'm doing two post at once right now, because I am trying to keep rat talk seperate from regular talk as I know some people tire of it lol. Can't help it, I love my rats.
