HI-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Big congratulations to the Bobcats (9-3), new MAC East Champions. Not only have they won their 2nd MAC East title in 4 years, they've also secured a bowl game berth in the process (also the 2nd in 4 years). The MAC championship game between OU and Central Michigan is listed as the best non-Big 6 match-up of the week on Yahoo Sports. Stand Up and Cheer!

In other news, I finally got my doctor's visit taken care of. It was one of the most low-key things I've done here. Part 1: Do you have any medical conditions that could impair or prevent your participation? Do you have a family history of such conditions? Part 2: Take blood pressure and heart rate. Now, go into a catcher's squat, and stand back up. 40 times. Now we check heart rate and blood pressure, and see how long it takes to go back to normal. Woohoo. My quads *still* hurt.

Went to one of the high school teacher's houses with the New Zealander for the rugby game between NZ and France. Rugby is the national sport of New Zealand. It was a slaughter. They had invited over a couple other teachers, but I only knew one of them before last night. I'd met her in the cafeteria, and I was working on La Condition Humaine, by Malraux. So since then, anytime she sees me she calls me Malraux. I also got to meet one of the English teachers, who is actually the father of one of the teachers I work for. All in all we had some really awesome conversations and a lot of fun.

Big 3:
Best: Got Paid!
Worst: Having awesome dreams. I know that this shouldn't go here, but the problem is, when I don't have anything I *need* to do or anywhere I need to be, they're a great encouragement to go back to sleep... but then when I try to go to sleep at night, I'm not tired, because 1) I slept in, and 2) I didn't have anything to do, therefore didn't expend a whole lot of energy. Therefore I stay up later, and the next day, have an even greater urge to sleep in more. Grrrrr.
Funniest: Probably the reactions I'm getting from people as I walk around in short sleeves. I'm wearing pants, but I guess that they're really not used to a polar panda bear wandering around.
