This is the second post of the day. Yeah, I know, I don't post for a week, and then post twice in one day? What gives?
NEW WORST THING FOR TODAY:
I can't find a copy of White Christmas on-line... which means I can not participate in my favorite Thanksgiving tradition, watching one of, if not the, greatest Christmas movies of all time. I mean, you have the great actors/singers Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney, the amazing dancing of Vera Ellen, and the incomparable Giaccomo, I mean Danny Kaye, who is in my opinion one of the greatest entertainers ever. He could sing, he could dance, and he had physical comedy down to the point that I'd argue no one came close to him until *possibly* Jim Carey.
Oh well, I'll just have to play it in my head.
PARAMOUNT PICTURES proudly presents the first movie filmed in vistaVision
1:"Corporal, take the shortcut." 2:"Yes, sir" *drives off* 3:"That's not the way back to base camp." 1:"you know that, and I know that, but the general doesn't know that... at least he won't for another couple hours"
W: "My dear man, when what's left of you gets around to getting what's left to be gotten what's left to be gotten won't be worth getting with whatever it is you've got left. D: "As soon as I figure out what that means, I'll come up with a crushing reply"
"Let's just say we're doing it for a pal in the army"
D: "Miss Haines, if you're ever under falling building and someone comes along and offers to save you, don't think, don't hesitate, just spit in his eye." B: "What's that supposed to mean?" D: "It means we're going to Vermont." W: "Oh, Boy!"
W: "How much?" D: "Somewhere between 'ouch' and 'boing'" W: "Wow"
G: "I got along just fine without you in the Army." A: "I know, it took 4 thousand men to take my place"
all: "I'm dreaming of a White Christams..."
(no references were used in the making of this post, and I can't be positive that I nailed all the exact phrases, but it's pretty close)
