Imported from Munich, this wheat beer is how a beer should be. Tasty. It has a good strong flavor, which can be lost in wheat beers. It goes well with burgers and fries, or snacks while watching the game.
With a 5.5% alc/vol it might sneak up on some, and is reasonably priced even at the sports bar.
Overall this is one for beer lovers and lovers of wheat beer. If I can find a liqueur store that stocks it local, it will find a spot in the pantry at some point.
Michelob Brewing Company-Jack’s Pumpkin Spice Ale
It’s an American ale from a big brewery, yep one of the companies know for “piss water” beer, so I guess one can’t say it has much of an expectation. Which is good otherwise one would be sorely disappointed. This seasonal “All malt Ale brewed with pumpkins and select seasonal spices including Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Ginger and Clove.” Well leaves one feeling like a little kid…. A little kid at bath time, that is. This watered down waste of ingredients tastes reminiscent of bubble bath with a hint of pumpkin pie belch. Drink cold at room temperature it changes to more of a hint of vomit and bubble bath.
While the $1.49/ bottle and 5.5% alc/vol go a long ways with the frat crowd, the flavor should even scare them away… though most will drink anyting.
This will not see my house again, as I couldn’t finish the bottle it was so bad. Really don’t try it even out of curiosity there are many other pumpkin beers that are better.
