I'm gonna miss my pandas!
This week is sure to bring much stress and anxiety, but today is starting off quite decently for a Monday. My life is looking quite glum and down in most aspects...I'm feeling unproductive, like I'm going nowhere.
But this morning my keeper that I work with, Kate, let me know how much she appreciates me and how she'll miss me when I leave. I was always a little unsure of how well I was doing there, but now I know I am appreciated and not to worry.
I absolutely love my internship experience at the zoo. It has given me many great things and experiences, pictures and memories. Very few people get to see a baby panda grow up, let alone get class credit! ...unfortunately I cant do a research internship this summer because Dr Snyder doesnt have time to train anyone else. But maybe I can try again for fall.
I will miss them greatly (the pandas), but also the keepers Kate and Ken are super nice and laid back and it was great to work with them.
I can honestly say that would be the best internship I could ever have probably.
Theres not many things I could say that about when I had to wake up at 5:45 two mornings in a row every week for 4 months!!! But Lun, Yang and Mei made it all worth while! :) :)
*sigh...ok now time for reality...school BS that ruins my otherwise great day.
I now get to go count varicosities on images of C. elegans from the LSM computer.
