As if the Don Imus situation wasnt bad enough, now we have some selfish evil loner taking out everyone he can just because his life 'sucks'.
I wish I could say 'everything happens for a reason' on this one, but I cant actually say that, because this is too big. The president of that college and the people working around him are seriously lacking in initiative and basically arent up to their jobs. If there were bomb threats on a campus and it was possible to take that many people out TWO HOURS after an initial shooting happened, I'm sorry but someones not providing that campus with adequate security or communication.
And I'm not gonna try and say, so and so should be fired. Because everyone and their mom is gonna want someone to blame...but that isnt gonna help the situation.
How about just correcting the mistakes??
Apparently, the shooter had made mention previously of wanting to kill himself, and a roommate? of his reported it, and I guess he went to a counselor. ...I'm sorry but that counselor should have been more thorough, (I know you cant make someone go to therapy) but odds are, if someone spent enough time analyzing this guy they would have seen he needed PSYCHIATRIC help. NOT PSYCHOLOGICAL. Normal people have normal problems everyday, and there are millions of people who are severely antisocial, but that doesnt mean theyre gonna kill tons of innocent people. I'm not a Jesus freak but that guy just let the devil take over, no faith left in him at all.
Anyways, I can only pray that the victims families can find solace in other families and through prayer and friends and even maybe knowing the entire nation is thinking of them.
I really cant stand the media and how they feed on tragedies like this, like a pack of wild dogs, but what can I say-thats just the media.
I really hope everyone stops pointing the finger at everyone else, and thoroughly analyzes the situation instead of trying to find a scape-goat.
*sigh* Gotta go back to lab work.
Hope none reading this suffered any losses from the VT shooting.
