Whew.. what a storm!

We finally got the power back on yesterday!! What a crazy storm! It started Wednesday. They said it was going to snow, but it started out raining so I thought maybe it won't be too bad. Ha.. That rain turned into the nastiest fattest snow I've ever seen!!! It had to be coming down an inch a half hour! It was crazy. Since it was a rainy snow mix it was a really really heavy snow! It coated everything. Of course since it was really heavy the power went out around 2:30 in the afternoon. Great... Of course they said it was just local and it would be back on that day. Found out later that day from the newspaper that the power was out all over. Great.. so of course no power that day. They said on Thursday that it would be back on Friday. Great... so no power Thursday. Of course no power Friday either! Really really not so great! The power came on around noon on Saturday!!!! Had the woodstove so there was heat and could cook. Still really sucked though!! The workshop doesn't have anything other than electric heat so it got cold in there!! It was down to 39 by Saturday morning! A couple of the cats wouldn't leave the house so we kept making sure they were warm enough. So today I'm very thankful that the power is back!!! It was a nasty few days!

Of course now the weather is really warm! Actually right after the power came back on, it started to get sunny and warm up. Go figure!!

I didn't measure the snow, but it seemed like we got well over a foot! Whew.. what another wicked winter we are having!!

This next storm better not bring more snow!! Gah... Right now it just looks like rain. Whew.. Hopefully that's all it will be! No more wintery mixes either!
