Swim lessons!

Jimmy had swim lessons today, they were a big hit! I was worried because they were right around his naptime, and he was a bit subdued at first, but once he figured out what was going on, he really enjoyed it! He tried everything - kicking on his tummy, kicking on his back, scooping with his arms, hanging on the side of the pool (crazy monkey even tried to climb out!), kicking after toys - we had so much fun! The class is structured just the right amount - they start you off in a circle, sing songs and get the kids used to the water. Then the kids chase after toys and work on some of the skills they give you in a list before class, then more circle time and songs, then working on the side of the pool, the more swimming around, then ending with another song. It was really fun - Jimmy was so into it! Maybe some day we'll be able to afford a membership there - the pool is nice, and there's babysitting in the mornings. I can't wait until the beach opens!
