I woke up this morning dreading the rest of the day, and very hungry, particularly since I wasn't allowed to eat. Shortly after driving to Council Bluffs, I'm filling out medical history and having an IV inserted into my arm. I was a genuine surgery patient- oxygen and everything! The put me under using the IV and the next thing I know, my face is numb I'm both laughing hysterically and sobbing at the same time.

Yep, I went through the wonderful experience of having my wisdom teeth removed. It was a pretty necessary procedure, though. My bottom wisdom teeth were impacted and pushing the rest together. I was so loopy afterward. I was extremely amused by an electric hand towel dispenser and apparently would not stop talking about yogurt. I had frozen raspberry yogurt and it was like food from the gods, seriously. I'd never had frozen yogurt before because I thought it would hurt my teeth the way ice cream does, but let me tell you, I've been missing out!

I'm actually not that miserable... yet. Quinn took care of me all day; he went to the operation, made my bed, put in a movie for me, got me ice for my jaw, made me delicious dinner, and was generally very wonderful. It just hasn't stopped bleeding yet and I'm starting to really dislike the constant iron taste in my mouth. I'm on hydrocodone and antibiotics right now so I'm still a little loopy, but I'm good!

I also picked up my check from work and finally watched The Boondock Saints, and minus a little oral discomfort, today is much better than I had expected it to be. I just have to take lots of care to ensure I don't end up with dry socket, ugh.
