This is something that's difficult for me to tell you (although a few of you have known for quite a while - pretend that you didn't), which is part of the reason I haven't until now. I suppose I might as well spit it out.
I'm moving.
To Connecticut.
In eight days.
Which means that the next week will be crammed full of errands, packing, and doing my damndest to see people. My schedule for the week stands as follows:
Today (10/29): Running various errands with Lucas. Leaving tonight at around midnight with Nikki to go to Waco for Tami's party.
10/30: Partying in Waco all night long, baby!
10/31: Returning from Waco at around 6 o'clock. Doing some Pagan Halloween stuff by myself, probably until 8 or 9, depending. After that, I'm free to the first person who snatches me up. Possibly going to see Proof at
Theatre Southwest as it will be my last opportunity to see those people.
11/1: Running errands with Carla (probably) during the day. Free in the evening.
11/2: My guess would be more errands and packing with Carla, but nothing's set in stone. Vote.
11/3: A possible outing to 1415, though I highly doubt it. (Last Wednesday was supposed to be my final visit.)
11/4: Running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Only two days left! TWO DAYS LEFT!!!
11/5: Partying my mother-fucking ass off. Of course after the obligatory family farewell meal.
11/6: I'm leaving on a jet-plane... Any and all parties wishing to accompany me to the airport are most welcome. The huge hunk of metal that miraculously floats through the sky will be leaving at 1pm. Be there or be SQUARE!!
You (yes, this means you) are more than welcome to join in the running of errands, packing, or just generally sitting around like a bump on a log. I would very much welcome your company. There are a few people, though, who are a priority for me to spend time with before I leave:
pandarus,
lush_us,
_kudzu, Alyx & Lindsey, Toby & Cookie,
taijini,
newtonsenigma &
libbyelf, and Nikki & Tami (but I'll see them this weeekend).
Not included on this list are people who live out of town because of the slim probability that getting together will work out. Which means that I would be ecstatic to see
paislee and
ubernick, but I have more realistic expectations.

Ok, so I suppose you're expecting an explanation. As you may be aware, I've been planning to go to school in January in New York for quite some time. I just happened to have an opportunity to leave sooner and move in with my Aunt Fredi in Connecticut. Which means that maybe I'll do community college for a semester there and then see if I can get an in-state rate.
I must say, though, I'm having difficulty staying inside my own skin I'm so excited!! There will be new people and new challenges and a new job and new clothes and old friends & family and different weather and a new home and and and and!! I can barely catch my breath!
For those of you who have my cell phone number, I will be keeping it, at least for now. For those of you who don't and would like to call me to wish me well or say, "FUCK YOU FOR LEAVING, YOU SKEEZY BITCH," I will post my number in a protected entry later.
"What about Abbie," you ask? Well, for now, she'll stay here. I mean, she still needs a carburetor kit, a clutch/brake assembly, and a few other things. I'd love to take her to CT with me, but she doesn't have working heat and she's not really road-worthy yet and we still haven't gotten all the kinks worked out quite yet. Carla and Joe want me to finish fixing her and sell her so that I can get another car for when I'm in CT, which I'm not keen on at all. What I want to do is wait and see how badly I really need a car when I get there. (There's a high probability that I'll get a job working for a friend's landscaping company making deliveries. If they're super-duper nice and let me use the van other than just when I'm working, I won't need to worry about getting a car or selling Abbie.) Ideally, I'd like for Abbie to get all fixed and such, wait until March or April when she's been given enough time to have all the little kinks worked out of her and I won't end up stranded on a windy Connecticut road in the middle of the night not knowing where the fuck I am (because we all know that'll end up happening) and bring her back up to Connecticut. That would wicked rock my socks off.
Also, there's a possibility that Jessica might come visit for Thanksgiving/her birthday, which makes me so unbelievably excited. Wheeeeeee!!!! JESSICA!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I think that pretty much covers everything. Questions? Comments? Donations? :D
I WON'T STOP SAYIN' Y'ALL!!
Sandy Hook, Connecticut, are you ready for me?
