So my brother flew out from Las Vegas last friday. We spent till tuesday night hanging out. It was wonderful. While I have seen him in the past 10 years, his wife is kinda clingy and needy and if I go, mostly I spend time with her. This vaca was just us.

Friday: picked him up at airport 8:30am. Delivered outfit to Ray Baron so he could be dressed for Ressurection. Then to Hollywood, lunch at Cat and Fiddle, tripped through Ameoba, Arclight and spent the late afternoon in Hollywood Forever. Home to meet Andre, who took us to pizza dinner at LaRizzas.

Saturday: Drove around Long Beach (he was born in LB, but moved to LV at 12) Looked at a few yard sales, including one at a house in LB that supposedly once belonged to WC Fields. Went to the Queen Mary, snuck on a tour and took lots of pictures. We had plans to go clubbing, but Dre got held over so we made dinner and watched a movie.

Sunday: Lazy day...OMG we laid around snacking then went to the beach at sunset and took lots of pictures. Made burgers for dinner and watched a movie.

Monday: Knotts Berry Farm! WOW it was awesome. Jason, Nigel, Andres and me. I was like the Den MOther to Scout troop 666. A bought us all lunch at the Calico Grill inside the park. We closed the place out after riding everything twice. I did get a bit heat sick during the day, but pulled out without a Migraine or throwing up.

Tuesday: He wanted to see more of Los Angeles, he left the area so abrutply at age 12 and has been back through briefly so he has not seen much of LA proper. We drove downtown and hiked many miles to take a 3 minute ride on Angels Flight. He is enchanted with Long Beach. He said he would give an appendage and walk under a Kevlar umbrella daily, to be able to live in a bungalow, Craftsman style that populate Belmont Heights. Feels the Las Vegas is an empty place void of culture. I agree. Sadly, he works for UPs Corporate and there is not an equavelant job here local.

Sadly I dropped him off at the airport at 7pm and within two hours he was back home.

I got way too much sun while he was here, I indeed DO have sun marks from being in the sun...my pink turns pinker. My feet hurt soooo so much too. Still kinda swollen from all the activity.

But it was fabulous. We talked...A LOT. Talked about how we were raised by crazy peeps and survived...how we both feel about our parents, Im older and I shared stories about our mom he didnt know...it was theraputic. He and Andre got along great! And I had my baby brother back if just for a moment.

The downer in this past few weeks is my son and his g/f. Her dad is mending from his cancer. She has gone to his house in Arizona, they are taking a 'break" Nigel is so so so happy. He is running around with friends, and is actually verbalizing how happy he is. Im guessing it is the end. So she is coming back in a few weeks to collect her belongings and she is taking the ferrets. Its hard. I have gotten close to her. In spite of the issues she brought.

All is well in other ways. A and I are close and doing great. I have a work opportunity looming.

A's birthday is this week. Looks like a Mal trip in in my future. This will be the first birthday of his we have spent together since we got together. he is always gone on a fire...with any luck, he will be here this year. However, my plans are flexible as always.
