Midnight Run

Mar 09, 2013 23:53

I was mucking around with images when I created this. I immediately knew the story I'd write for it, hence the post name, but as I have two SGAWIP's at the moment and I've signed up for sgareversebang then it's gonna be anywhere from 3-6 months before I write that story. I wondered if it would inspire other stories from other users, well more hoped than wondered ( Read more... )

eeeeee! This begs for a story. The best I can do at the moment is add it to a long list. :)

It does set the mind whirring doesn't it. Glad you think so to. So you're all tied up with WIP's like me then? Never mind, just remember to let me know when you're done and send me that link.
Can't wait to read what you come up with.

Oh god, Rodney in that collar and John with the gun.

I really want a fic for this.

Rodney in a collar paleom March 10 2013, 09:58:13 UTC
Yeah, I almost took the collar out because my fic will be AU Earth based with minimal stargate, based on the film Midnight Train, so therefore no need for collars. But then like you say, John with gun, Rodney with collar = hot. LOL. I figured for an escape artist of Rodney's caliber maybe they would put him in full cuffs with a neck collar too and when he runs, the collar stays, and John's eyes keep drifting to it, much to his own annoyance. *Grin*

Wow, yes please *g*

I do get that the collar was an incidental thing, though - still it makes the picture even more fascinating! I'm not familiar with Midnight Train, so I think I'll have to google it XD

I must admit that I haven't seen the film in years, but I really enjoyed it, all I remember is the frustrated bounty hunter agent slowly gaining respect for the man he's chasing/protecting and the always underestimated genius witness who out thinks everyone.

I just googled it to remind myself of Charles Grodin's name so I could tell you it's his character I like the most and it turns out it's called Midnight RUN, not train. LOL. Think I'd best go edit my post.

Does that mean you'll do more than one fic?? *looks hopeful*
LOL.

Glad you like it. Figure most fics will be John tracking Rodney, but oh the possibilities. ON Atlantis or Earth? Is one of them possessed? Is one of them bad? Is one of them perceived to be a traitor? Is John a hitman? or a FED? oh, can't wait to read what people write.

One other idea I had was a BSDM/Slave universe (due to the collar I left in) where John is a bounty hunter tracking runaway slaves/subs, either from government contracts or from private firms, whatever. He gains respect for Rodney, and lust when he finally catches him. I really hope someone writes something like that because I don't think I could.

Hi there hun. Waves franticly at paleom. Check your email. I sent you a message.

Loved the art. Bet you had a really great story idea for that too. Would love to know what was in your head when you created this?

I actually just failed trying to cut a Rodney and move him further into John's space but the angle of John's arm was all wrong and then I just found these two images and they just blended so well and naturally. It was fate. LOL.

So in this case the art came first but immediately thought of Midnight Run with Charles Grodin.

I'll check email when I'm back in work tomorrow. Look forward to it. Be good to have something nice for a Monday morning. LOL.

Glad you're well. You went quiet for a while there.

Yeah, sorry about that. Email will explain some of why I went dark. Although you can get the gist of it from my recent posts.
