Midnight Run

I was mucking around with images when I created this. I immediately knew the story I'd write for it, hence the post name, but as I have two SGAWIP's at the moment and I've signed up for sgareversebang then it's gonna be anywhere from 3-6 months before I write that story. I wondered if it would inspire other stories from other users, well more hoped than wondered ( Read more... )

Oh god, Rodney in that collar and John with the gun.

I really want a fic for this.

Yeah, I almost took the collar out because my fic will be AU Earth based with minimal stargate, based on the film Midnight Train, so therefore no need for collars. But then like you say, John with gun, Rodney with collar = hot. LOL. I figured for an escape artist of Rodney's caliber maybe they would put him in full cuffs with a neck collar too and when he runs, the collar stays, and John's eyes keep drifting to it, much to his own annoyance. *Grin*

Wow, yes please *g*

I do get that the collar was an incidental thing, though - still it makes the picture even more fascinating! I'm not familiar with Midnight Train, so I think I'll have to google it XD

I must admit that I haven't seen the film in years, but I really enjoyed it, all I remember is the frustrated bounty hunter agent slowly gaining respect for the man he's chasing/protecting and the always underestimated genius witness who out thinks everyone.

I just googled it to remind myself of Charles Grodin's name so I could tell you it's his character I like the most and it turns out it's called Midnight RUN, not train. LOL. Think I'd best go edit my post.

Ooo, I really like that plot - a bounty hunter slowly gaining respect for the main he's tracking. Yes yes, good - I would sooo read a McShep fic of that!

Ahhh, Mightnigh RUN, not train. That will probably make my google search easier, lol

Well like I said I just googled it to remind me of Charles Grodin's name,(I love the way he plays it, quiet spoken and unassuming but with the mind of a sharp whip), so I reread the plot. I was going to bypass the gangsters for aliens but I've just had a brainwave; Baal will be the gangster. Hehehehe.

Right, I'm off to work on Almost Lover. Going to cover four eps and six chapters in I haven't even covered Duet yet. LOL. Trying to finish it before I start reversebang so I'd best get to it.

Ooo, I love the feeling of getting a brainwave - it's so exciting! And Baal sounds perfect for the role :D

WOW. I can't say I'm disappointed by that though, since long fic is my favorite thing ever :D I understand trying to finish before sgareversebang - I'm trying to get as much written before that starts, myself. I won't keep you :) Good luck!

I love your picture, and I loved that movie. Sheppard as DeNiro will be awesome. And, iirc, Charles Grodin's character used some (possibly fake) neurosis to get the bounty hunter to drive instead of fly. McKay will be great there.

I'm looking forward to your fic.

Thank you!! I hope it will be good. It's in the back of my mind, laying out the plot, while I write the current stuff I've promised. I'll post a link on McShep like I did for the art when it's finally done, but like I said it will probably be about 6 months away yet.

I figure McKay's lemon allergy will get them off the plane, plus the statistics of death by flying that Rodney will reel off.... loudly, making the other passengers nervous so the airline ask the bounty hunter to take him off the plane.

Also, the FBI will be SGC undercover. He diverted the money to stall Baal's plans and the accounts will be alien artifact that will stall Baal too. Least that's what I've got mapped out so far, but may change when I re-watch the film nearer the time.

Glad you liked it, hope you like the fic when it's finally created.
