Mulan had still not adjusted to the strange city? No, it was a castle right? That's what she'd heard anyway, but it was still so hard to believe. Sure, she'd seen a lot of things back home, but castles that had multiple worlds inside? How was that even possible? Plus, now it was snowing...inside. Could it get any stranger?
Pulling herself out of her thoughts, Mulan finally glanced up to see...were those rabbit ears on that woman's head? Okay, how could she not stare at that. I mean, it wasn't something you saw everyday, and the lack of clothes was even less common. Or at least it was in her world, and it most certainly proved that yes, things do in fact get stranger. Still Mulan had to admit, she was actually kind of curious about it.
And as if her very thoughts had summoned up another arrival, a hume-child arrived in the streets. Hardly surprising, here, or most places, but still worthy of a moment of slight amusement under the circumstances. That she'd been all but expecting it didn't matter. Some things were inevitable.
"You stare," she commented, turning to look properly at the girl. It wasn't an accusation, for all that it could have been. Instead, it was merely a comment on what was, as well as a remark that she was aware of the fact that she was being stared at.
