Character(s): Beast and Lumiere (and Mrs. Potts is welcome too~) Content: Beast needs some cheering up after Cogsworth's disappearance Setting: Beast's apartment Time: Morning Warnings: OH GOD THE EMO
Lumiere saw not a beast, but indeed a child behind such deep blue eyes. Lost, alone, and most undoubtedly troubled. And for the first in the longest of time he could remember, he wished he could hug the prince, comfort him in some form, even if that were only to place his hand atop the boys shoulder. But he could not offer the prince such things. He had far outgrown that; he was no longer a child but a man, a man in need of the right guidance. And as long as the prince needed him, he would never leave his side, for the beast was not the only stubborn one.
“Master, I could be wrong, but famine may not be the most effective course of action. What if you are to become ill? Then you will truly be forced to stay inside even when you wish not.” A small smirk appeared across his features at this thought, recalling a time in his younger days when the Master had been forced to do just that. After months of refusal to venture outdoors and enjoy the snow covered grounds, it was only after he had caught a cold he and been forced to stay in his chambers had he longed to go out tobogganing. By the time he had gotten over illness, the snow had already melted and the prince had lost his chance to play in it. Such a tantrum he had thrown.
“It is unwise to confine yourself like this.” He told the beast firmly. “Though it is important you remember that which you have lost, you must not lose sight of all which you still have. You must embrace it, something you cannot do sitting in here.” The candelabra sighed. “We all know how hard it has been since Cogsworth’s congé, however, we are not lucky enough to have truly rid of him; he will await our return to the castle as the rest of the staff.”
