Character(s): Hercules and Jake

Content: Jake believes a bit of normalcy won't be so bad, after learning so much and getting confused over the strangeness of Paixao through the journal network. In the middle of all this mind blowing info dump, he had a voice chat with Hercules.

Setting: Where Herc's staying, at Iriela Apartments, much later after his arrival.

Time: Week 24, in the afternoon

Warnings: Jake's semi-geekness combined with Herc's innocent curiosity? XD

Jake kept the window of the Paixao map open as he walked the streets. Fortunately, he didn't have to think about morphing the falcon after all. The trip from the gate he entered through he found out was called Vanaheim to this part of the city was just a mile or so of a hike, southwest.

He looked up again for any particular silhouette of birds of prey. Tobias would probably feel nervous up there. He'd be worried about riding a thermal too high to collide into one of the domes and injure himself. I'd feel the same way, Jake thought, not eager to fly around the city anytime soon. At least not today, but he felt he might have to later on.

During the hike, he watched the locals react to him. Some of them looked like they were headed somewhere and stopped once they noticed him. They'd turn on heel and suddenly forget they had a destination. Others just ignored the fact he was walking among them. More or less, they were all the same.

Jake had this heavy, unsettling feeling. This was so big for him to take in. Who were these "Nobodies" of Organization XIII exactly? What did they want? Why were they so set on confining anyone from other worlds? ...Were they from other worlds? Could that be why they don't care for the blonde people who disliked outsiders?

Here we go again, Jake. You're thinking too much and too hard, he scoffed to himself. And he was right; trying to understand all of this in one setting proved difficult. This wasn't helping to quell what reasonable paranoia he had that there could be Controllers around. They may not be behind this, but if I'm not the only one from my world...

Yeah; for now it was best to try and relax with this Hercules guy a little. In fact, he was doing what he could to relax all the muscles in his body while shouldering his dark colored backpack on a single strap. It wasn't very heavy.

The elegant yet run down brick apartment complexes had fake silvery vines glinting under the sunlight on the outside walls that looked tacky and fake--with the idea of this city just being one floor of some humongous castle. Some of the dome looked closely transparent, showing the sun. Has to be fake...

The close line of buildings down the block had to be his destination. Hercules mentioned which one. Jake resumed onward, from building marked eighty-seven. It went up from there. Building ninety-one was where Hercules was staying.

After what felt like several minutes more of Jake's hike, he had plenty of time to calm down, to stop thinking about everything he couldn't even begin to wrap his mind around. He came to the right building, and stepped forward to knock on the door.
