Yuna was watching the road ahead very carefully as she walked through the Farplane. Rikku and Paine were nearby, but they weren't saying much of anything either. A heavy weight had fallen over the once happy group and they were trudging their way up to the final showdown. Okay, trudging wasn't the right word. They were hurrying, but none of them really wanted to. Something about this place gave her the chills and she didn't want to be here no matter how much the people needed her to be. Vegnagun was right there, but so many obstacles stood in front of them. So much needed to be done. So much-
"Yunie, look out!"
Yuna had just enough time to dodge roll to the side before a huge fiend came tromping through, the last on their road, the last between them and Vegnagun. The thing was putting up a fight, though, and not even Yuna's superpowered moves were doing much. She was in the middle of a dressphere change to Gunner when the beast lashed out with its tail again, catching a nearby pillar and throwing it to the side. Unfortunately, that happened to be exactly where Yuna was. She had no time to react and so it caught her on the head, thrusting her downwards. She blacked out for a moment as the tail impacted with her head, sending her flying to the ground. She woke up to an entirely different feeling and as her eyes stopped swimming, she glanced upwards in surprise. This... wasn't the Farplane. This wasn't even a city in Spira that she knew of.
Her muscles ached, but eventually she managed to push herself up from the ground. Once standing, she took a good look around. A large gate stood in front of her and someone was just reaching where she was, handing her a little device. The explanation of what it was went in one ear and out the other as she stood there, but she smiled and thanked him before turning to walk through the gates. Something told her that once she went through, there was no coming back. They called this place Paixao and it looked like a grand city from what she could see. She just wished she knew where this place was, or anything about it really.
But there was no going back now it seemed, so she took a deep breath and moved on, vowing to ask the first person she came across where she was and how she could get back home. Something struck her after a moment and she brought her fingers up to her lips, blowing a sharp whistle out. Are you here? All she got in response were a few catcalls and a bunch of stares. Blushing a little, she apologized and walked off, sighing inwardly. Well, at least now she knew he wasn't here...
