The day had started...awkward to say the least. Neither Adell or Rozalin had touched the topic on the state Rozalin had arrived in. Adell simply didn't ask about it, even though he really wanted to, he didn't want to push Rozalin. Not after what had happened. He'd much rather have her tell him when she felt she was ready to talk about it.

So instead he had told her everything he knew of Paixao as he showed her around the ever-shining city. Somehow ending up at the Wild Ginger. "This is the Wild Ginger. Though I've never been here so I don't what it's about." He stared at the door for a moment, something about the name of this place was very familiar but he just couldn't remember why, before he looked back at Rozalin with his usual grin. "Let's check it out."

He pushed the door open, ready to step inside until he noticed the small crowd of non-natives that was gathered inside. Why were there so many people here? He frowned as he stood in the doorway uncertainly and slowly a realization dawned on him.

Wait a minute....didn't Akutare...!?

To say it was awkward would be perhaps an understatement. Rozalin wasn't sure what to explain to Adell. She was rather frightened to. What would he say? Would he leave her if she told him? She didn't want to be alone. Then again, he did promise to protect her. Would he change his mind? ...But that wouldn't really be his... style, would it?

Still, she was uncertain. For now he hadn't brought it up, and she was grateful for that. Trying to seem like all was well, she listened intently to what he had to tell her about the place they now found themselves trapped in, and let him lead her around. It was a rather beautiful place she had to admit, but it wasn't some where she'd particularly like to be trapped in.

"The Wild Ginger?" she echoed, sounding a little put off, "It sounds rather crude, but if you insist."

She supposed it couldn't hurt to have a peek either way, and if it was unfit for her, she could always insist on leaving. She followed behind him, and practically bumped into his back when he stopped at the door. Peeking around him she tried to peer inside, "What is it, Adell?"

The party....how could he have forgotten?

While still mentally berating himself Adell turned around to face Rozalin, scratching the back of his head with an almost solemn expression. Ah...how to put this?

"I just remembered this is a bad place to be right now. Why don't we go check out the museum?" Really, he was just naming the next closest thing he remembered seeing on the map. He wasn't interested in the museum at all but hopefully it would interest Rozalin. She would probably like that better anyway, right? ...Whatever it took to get away from here before Akutare spotted him.

Too bad Adell was just a little too late. Of course the demon wasn't going to miss his rival--and it looked like he had the princess in tow, too! Well, well, he wasn't going to miss out on an opportunity like this!

"And here I thought you weren't coming..." Akutare began, a wide grin spreading across his face. "What can I say? No one can resist the Dark Hero's top-notch parties. I knew you'd see the light."

"A museum? Well, I suppose that would be mor--" she replied, but cut off as a familiar voice greeted them from behind Adell. Someone who knew him. In fact, Rozalin knew that voice also... wasn't that...

"Akutare?" she peered over Adell's shoulder back at the familiar blond haired demon. Well, that certainly explained Adell's attempt at a hasty retreat. Wait, did Akutare say he was holding a party?

She blinked at him, a little exasperated. "We're trapped in a city with no way out, and you're holding a party?" Of all the ridiculas things for someone to do.

That was just his luck, wasn't it? At the sound of a familiar voice Adell slowly turned around, coming face to face with the very reason he had wanted to get out of here as fast as possible. ...At least someone was happy.

"It wasn't intentional, I assure you." He said as he crossed his arms. Of course there was little hope in Akutare actually believing that and possibly even less hope of getting out of here now.

Akutare merely shrugged at Rozalin's question. "Well, why not? If there's no way out, might as well make the best of it, right? Not like there's anything else to do," he replied. And there was no way they were going to get him to go against that giant thing that was running around.

"Oh, you say that now..." he began, "but in a few moments you'll be wondering why you didn't come here sooner!" Of course he understood. Adell was probably just trying to be all macho and uncaring in front of the princess. He probably just didn't want anyone to know he was a party animal... Well, there was no fooling him. Akutare was good at these kinds of observations.

Now that was some VERY fuzzy logic. "How are you so sure there is no way out? Have you even bothered to look?"

It couldn't be possible for their not to be some way to escape, right? If everyone was saying their wasn't a means of escape, it could just be they hadn't found it yet. Perhaps the Last Boss hadn't yet revealed themselves, for example. Every place, after all, had a Last Boss. Perhaps the defeat of it would present a way home.

Rozalin could only arch and eyebrow looking less than amused. "Or wondering why we didn't leave sooner."

She turned to Adell, now pointedly ignoring Akutare. "Shall we be off?"

And of course Akutare was completely wrong but that was to be expected. Adell certainly was no party animal and it was very doubtful the demon before him had even bothered to look for an exit. It was like he didn't even understand the graveness of the situation they were in. Or maybe it was just that he didn't care at all. Either way, the battle maniac really couldn't be bothered to respond to that.

Instead he followed Rozalin's example and ignored Akutare as he turned back to the princess. "Yeah, let's." Much rather the museum than here.

"Well, that's what everyone else said," Akutare replied. "You know, island in the middle of nowhere with no way out? I'm sure something will come up sooner or later but why bother when there isn't anything?"

It was then that he noticed they were beginning to wander off. "Hey, you can't leave yet!"

The Dark Hero immediately sprang into action, moving to block the exit. "The party's only just gotten started!"

Their plan to leave didn't seem to be working out when Akutare suddenly was in front of them, blocking the exit.

Rozalin narrowed her eyes, and folded her arms to her chest, with a huff. The party 'just starting' wasn't much of a reason for them to stick around in her opinion. "What reason do we have to possibly stay?" she asked, giving a side glance to Adell.

Adell sighed, he knew leaving couldn't have been that easy. Still, he could have hoped, right? Not that it mattered now with Akutare standing in the way like that. Of course, he could probably just shove the demon aside if he wanted to but that wasn't his style.

He met Rozalin's gaze for a moment before glancing back to the Dark Hero, interested to see if Akutare would actually be capable of providing a good reason to make them stay.

"What reason? I can list plenty of reasons!" Akutare assured them. He just had to figure out exactly what those reasons were.

Not that there weren't any! There were plenty of reasons to hang out with the Dark Hero. It was just that these two were so deep in denial, he would have to be careful about what he said. They were like wild animals, after all. The wrong move could scare them off.

"Well, you could meet new people, for one. And there's a free buffet!" Free for him, anyway. Boy, he almost pitied the poor sap that was going to be stuck with the bill for this one...

Rozalin really wasn't ready to listen to any possible reason Akutare might throw at them, until he mention food.

She almost felt her stomach gurgle at the thought of a meal. It was funny how one's hunger became all the more apparent when food was offered. And this was a free meal! A buffet, no less. They wouldn't have to wait to be served or anything. The real question was could she stand being in the same room as Akutare for a meal? ...Her stomach was saying yes.

"W-well... I.. am a bit hungry," she admitted, glancing to Adell once more, with a kind of 'well, maybe it wouldn't hurt for a little' look.

Adell didn't really look convinced. Two reasons were hardly 'plenty'. He had doubted from the start Akutare would be able to give them a good reason. Considering you could just pluck money from the trees, wasn't all the food pretty much for free in this city? Although a buffet didn't sound too bad...

He was slightly surprised by Rozalin but then again, they hadn't eaten that much today, had they? He couldn't see any harm in getting some food here if Rozalin agreed. Finally, he nodded to her and turned back to Akutare. "Fine, we'll stay for a while."

Ha! He knew that'd do the trick. Of course, there were plenty more reasons to stay at the party, but why go any further when there was a perfectly good buffet nearby? Everyone loved free food!

"Great choice! Stay for as long as you like!" he replied triumphantly. "The buffet is right over there."
