Character(s): Wanda Lensherr Maximoff
Content: Wanda, meet Paixao. Paixao, this is Wanda.
Setting: Joutenheim
Time: Late afternoonish
Warnings: She has her pants, thank you.

"You people?" Wanda created quote marks in the air with her fingers, giving Captain America the raised eyebrow. She was well used to Steve's rantings and ramblings about how things were supposed to be done, but he was being a bit stupid here. It was hardly their fault that Pietro had commented on what should have been common knowledge. Especially to the X-Men. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes, being better than that, and contented herself to leaning on Pietro.

They were both dressed for 'combat' as it was called. The psuedo-leather outfits that had been provided. Quite odd that the Ultimates had their measurements, but Wanda chalked that up to SHIELD being paranoid and obsessive. She cracked her knuckles idly, adjusting the fingerless gloves behind Pietro's shoulders. Then it happened, the sonic boom, Pietro on the ground and a rather chaotic battle.

Anthony asked her to shut down the telepath, which she did with perhaps a bit too much joy. Jean Grey had always been a bother, the little red headed girl scout. Well, she could be a girl scout off on the other side of New York, with just a little nudge from Wanda's hexes. She had not expected Colossus to reach over and grab her however, and with her wrists locked and fingers pointing downward, that effectively put a trap on her power.

"...I hope you're rich," She commented, sounding unbothered by her predicament, but as soon as she was free, metal boy was going to be finding it hard to swim up from the bottom of some large lake. And his friend, Iceman would be melting. Wanda felt Colossus's grip loosen and she tugged her hand free triumphantly, bringing her right hand in front of her, index and pinky pointed at Iceman... who wasn't there. She turned halfway, fingers dropping into an open palm to pick the other reality she had found for Colossus in his big Russian face when it appeared that he wasn't there. In fact, none of them were there and this was hardly the Triskelion.

Wanda's face fell into a scowl. She would have known if this had been her own doing. She was quite aware of what it felt to have her power backfire in her face. Which left her with a few options. One was that the X-Men had a teleporter on their side, and the other was that Summers had brought a teleporter with him. Either way, she was an unhappy mutant who had been moved against her will. When she found out who... well, the baby-seal-being-beaten-to-death-by-a-million-Eskimos reality would not be saved for Thor anymore.

A line of people caught her eye. Placid cows, probably homo sapiens by the looks of it. She stalked up to the line, waited for the whole of two minutes and then decided to bypass this 'waiting' thing. Wanda walked past people and cut in front of the first person in line. "Excuse me." She said, in a tone that was clear that 'excuse me' was hardly for politeness. There was a young man behind the counter and he gave her a wide smile.

"...hello, I'll be with you in a moment," His tone was flat, and he turned back to the other person in line, pressing some things into their hand and saying, "Welcome to Paixao!" With a broad smile.

Wanda tapped her fingers on his counter, "...well?" She asked, when he turned back to her and began to straighten various papers and items on the countertop.

"Here is a pamphlet, a brochure and a journal. This is Joutenheim, and you can find it on the map. Enjoy your stay, and welcome to Paixao!" He said in a rush and handed her several items. Each was handed to her with a wide smile. Wanda too the several pieces of paper and the electronic device and raised an eyebrow.

"... Paixao." She parroted back to him. Disbelief stained her tone, but as soon as she tried to ask another question, he had already turned to the next person in line. With a sigh, Wanda moved out of the way of the line, snapping open the journal and browsing the brochures to see if there was any useful information.
