Matt and I are moving in together. Whoa. Yep. HOLY CRAP! I'm moving in with my boyfriend. I'm both scared and excited for the next leg of our relationship. Hopefully we'll be sleeping in our new flat by Saturday.
Yesterday we bought a shower curtain. The one I had my heart set on was too girly for his tastes, and I wasn't thrilled about his first choice - so we agreed on an inexpensive gender neutral curtain.
Somehow we concluded that the first step to making the apartment feel like our "home" would be to plug in the stereo and put the magnetic poetry on the fridge*. The next step to making it feel like home is getting some good beer for the fridge, and wine for the wine-rack. Then furniture. In that order. This is how the list is looking:
Stereo (check)
Magnetic Poetry (Check)
Beer and Wine ...
Furniture ...
We live right next door to a "Master Lube" which is slightly hilarious. The neon sign is going to drive me crazy, I can already tell. I am going to sew a curtain for the living room window.
List of things we still need:
+ Curtain Rod
+ Two trash cans (one for bathroom, one for kitchen)
+ A broom (I'm superstitious about bringing an old broom into our new apartment)
+ Another bookshelf (We have too many fucking books)
According to superstitions, we're not supposed to move until the moon waxes. Good thing that our moving day this weekend coordinates with a waxing moon. I checked, yes.
*Putting all those tiny magnetic poetry words on the fridge took me a horrifying amount of time... hopefully I won't have to do that again for a while.
