Originally uploaded by blmurch. Today was my 34th birthday. It was a pretty mellow occasion during the day, but it got interesting at night. We once again held the "Creativity Lab" here at the hotel and we had a a show and tell of our work. I printed out 5 of my photographs that I'm quite proud of (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) and they were very well received. That made me *very* happy. It was the first time that I have printed out my photos large and been around to see the result. It was a bit nerve wracking, but it went fine. One friend even said that she would pay for the merry go round shot (#2). People sang "Happy Birthday" and "Feliz Cumpleaños". That was embarrassing and cool. :D Kragen brought out the birthday Tiramisu cake laden with candles. It was a huge fire!!! It was great. I blew out the candles and then the smoke rose up. People seemed to enjoy the cake and stayed around and chatted for awhile. I really like these Creativity Labs. They're kind of like salons from France and Bab5 gatherings in the Bay Area with less science geeking and more creative/artistic geeking. We get into cool philosophical conversations and stretch our brains. I'm also meeting lots of really interesting people and that makes me really really happy.
