I learned how to salsa dance! Well, sort of anyway. Our little group of SMB basically doubled tonight when Hascall (tall, black with blue hair) introduced us to eight other people and we've now comfortably combined into an expanding gang-lette. Anyway, went to this cute little Mexican place for dinner and dancing. The food was excellent, let that be said. They played a good mix of spanish dance and hip hop, good times. We danced while waiting for the entrees and then these two older women came in and started salsa dancing really well, so of course, we were very impressed. They also did some of the "younger" dance moves with our group in good fun, very cute. Being greatly impressed and eager, half of the group was over next to the women trying to follow in step with them while they danced. At least they had a good deal of patience, because they spent most of the night helping us learn how to do different steps.
All in all, a very good night despite the $25 cab ride home because the CTA isn't desperate to run a train or a bus at two in the morning, despite it being the weekend. And tomorrow night is poker night, with all invited, so winnings should be high and hopefully in my favor.
