Again there's been a huge chunk of time since my last post. I'm posting today because I just had to write a few paragraphs at a website that analyzes your writing style and I figured I may as well do a journal post and paste it in here. I write like Stephen King according to that site.
Today I have no real plans. I may clean the bathroom. And, of course, I'll have to make supper. I hate making supper. I take that back. I don't really hate making supper... what I hate is deciding what to make. Tonight I'm going to make BBQ chicken. I'll use a homemade sauce that contains dark rum. I don't really know what I'll make for sides, just not french fries. I made them from scratch on Wednesday night and they went over so big that I was requested to make them again last night.
Right now my husband is getting ready to go fishing with his friend, John Juba. He's making sandwiches as I write this, but he does need to go get dressed, too. He actually has only been up a short while. He can't resist an invitation to go fishing, though. Fishing and hunting are his two favorite things along with eating and sleeping.
We just got back from vacation last Tuesday night. We were gone for thirteen days. Our trip included a visit to my cousin, Gerri, who lives near Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon. It also included camping in the Grand Tetons and near Yellowstone National Park. And I don't mean in a camper. I mean in a tent. In the Grand Tetons a grizzly bear actually came through the campgrounds just a couple campsites from ours. It never bothered anyone, though. It was just cutting through. Camping was fun, though. We hadn't tented in about twenty years. We weren't sure how it would go, but decided to give it a try. We ended our trip with visits to my step daughter and family in New Ulm and my mother in Coon Rapids. All in all, it was a great vacation, but we were ready to come home.
