living the life

note: sorry for not posting yesterday. i was detained.
people always ask key what he plans on doing with his life. he always shrugs and says he has an idea, when he really doesn't. people always ask him though, so he often comes up with elaborate stories that make their eyebrows raise. sometimes he just tells them that he's going to be a fashion designer, sometimes he tells them he's going to be a stripper. either way, he's doing something.
a kid named jonghyun, about his age, walked into the 7-eleven key worked at one day and asked for a pack of cigarettes. key snorted at him and asked what he was going to do with his life when he had cancer. jonghyun just gave him a smile and flicked his hair out of his eyes.
"it doesn't matter as long as i'm happy." and then he kissed key, full on the mouth. in a bout of spontaneity that frightened them both, key returned the kiss. sitting on the curb after key was fired, jonghyun asked for his name.
"i'm kibum," he shrugged, taking the cigarette jonghyun offered and breathing in. "i used to be key."
"really?" jonghyun asked, fingering the soft material of kibum's sleeve. "your hands are soft."
"yours are rough." key breathed, inching closer and blowing smoke in jonghyun's face. chuckling, jonghyun kissed him again as a giggling flock of junior high school girls passed behind them on the sidewalk, gossiping amonst themselves. jonghyun smirked and slipped his tongue in kibum's mouth.
kibum never regretted it.
“Never regret. If it's good, it's wonderful. If it's bad, it's experience.”
