I returned from London on Monday and had to go straight to school and it has been a hard change to get used to because we are learning a new program called Flash Media and when you don't understand anything the man is saying then that causes your mind to wander. Ahhh...this next project is going to be fun...umm.. how do you do that...
On other counts, I went to London last weekend and has a blast. I went with my flatmate Val and we went just about everywhere. It was a lot of fun, except near the end of the trip my feet were hurting so much because I brought the sturdy shoes lacking support. It is so pretty at night, but unlike Scotland all the bars and places close at like 11. They definitely don't have a night life, but it was ok because we saw two plays the first two nights. Shakespeare abridge was great. They did romeo and juliet in 20 minutes and both characters you will be happy to know died right away...no agony of taking 15 minutes to die after drinking poison. The next night we saw the Lady in Black. It was good, but I didn't get scared at all and we had annoying teenagers infront of us, but the ladies I was sitting next to were from Illinois and recognized my accent! haha! I went across the tower bridge, went to tower of London, Covent Gardens, Pickadilly circus, London Dungon, London Eye (which is a complete rip off for just a ferris wheel), boat tour, tate modern (a museum thaty had an exhibit of a photographer I studied at columbia, I was very excited to see his work in person), Shakespeare theater called the Globe, and some other excursions along the way. The one depressing part of the whole adventure was loosing my treasured Hedwig in a 5 story toy store. As you all know, he used to perch in my car, but seeing as I don't have one I put the keychain on my bag that I carry everywhere and usually checked quite often to ensure that it was always there. On the 5th and final floor I checked and found that somewhere along the way and in the massive amounts of people I had lost him and I didn't find him : (. I mourned the loss of my treasured furry friend.
I hope you are all doing well and I miss you. I have to go and make a story board of this crazy project i'm doing and then rephotograph my photographs so I can put it in the program...it's crazy...
Love,
Brianne
P.S. I found out that on Halloween I spoke French to Tanda and I don't remember it at all...she said I was good at it too...how very exciting! The sad thing is in London we waited in line and people behind us spoke french and I didn't understand anything they were saying...haha...
