I know now that you must fashion a home for yourself no matter where you are, as no one else will do it for you. And you must fill it with the things that make you happy; for me, it’s books, movies, blankets and pictures. It is a reminder of good times, and a comfort for bad ones. It must be somewhere that you can always return in times of loneliness, anger, or sadness. A place that, above all else, you can feel safe and comforted in.
I am one thousand miles from where I was born, and where all of my family and friends reside. But I can find home no matter where I am.
