Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom

I love living out in the boonies, thus today's slightly silly list of wild animals I have seen in my yard:

Mammalia:
red foxes
whitetail deer
bats
field mice
raccoon (in mah bird feeder!)
squirrels (durr)

No rabbits or chipmunks, oddly enough. I have seen exactly one chipmunk in the seventeen years we've lived in the DC area. In the Jo-Ann Fabrics parking lot, not in my yard. As for the rabbits, I think the foxes are the reason they're scarce; I did once see a dead (decapitated!) rabbit being carried home through my yard by a happy red fox. We've smelled skunks but have yet to see one.

Aves:
great blue heron
red-shouldered hawk
pileated woodpecker pair
owls (no idea exactly what kind as it's been dark whenever we catch a glimpse of them)

Other birds too numerous to mention; these are just the big ones.

Reptilia
blue-tailed skinks
box turtles
ring snakes
black rat snakes
copperheads

It's a good thing we all like reptiles. Skinks are everywhere, especially on our front porch. Ring snakes occupied our downstairs bathroom for a while. Fun trivia fact: baby copperheads have lime green tails! Robert rescued a black rat snake that got caught in the net over our fish pond. A box turtle laid eggs in the front yard once. Sadly, they never hatched. (Maybe the foxes ate 'em?)
