Before I left the Bronze I’d taken another bottle of scotch from behind the bar and made fast work finishing it off as soon as I got back to the crypt. It meant, thankfully that I hadn’t had to deal with anymore of the…dreams, but it also meant that I didn’t remember a bloody thing about the night before, at least after I left the bronze

I was starting to think that I spent more time at the library then I did back at the dorm's anymore. I didn't have classes today but I was still here well past sunset, which was one thing I try to avoid when at all possible

I was so sodding happy that I was almost whistling while I walked. Almost. Didn’t really promote stealth, whistling, and I really wanted to catch Buffy when she was--

"Hey, h-how are you doing?"

I stopped in my tracks. Bloody hell, I’d been so preoccupied with finding Buffy, and what I was going to do to her when I found her that I hadn’t even noticed the bird. Suddenly I realised, I was going to have to find some way to get out of this damn spell…then again, maybe I could use sweet little Glinda. Practice on her before I went to find Buffy, you know, just to make sure that the chip was definitely dead.

“Hi there, pet,” I said with a small smile. “Bit late, was just coming to see you. Everything ready, then?”

She smiled and fumbled with her books a bit so I took them off her and she ducked her head shyly. Oh yeah, I was starting to think she’d be a real nice entrée. Maybe I’d even play with her a bit first.

I smiled and thanked him quietly as he took my books. "Thanks." I shifted my bag and held onto the straps, pulling and shifting it up on my shoulders, trying to move the weight to a different part of my body.

"It's ok, I got everything...it's all here. I picked up the herbs at the shop this morning." He gave me a worried look and I smiled softly and placed my hand on his arm for a second. "It's ok, M-Mister Giles didn't ask me any questions, the herb's I got could very easily be used for a sleeping or concentration spell."

Cracking my neck again we headed towards the dorm's in silence. "I'm up this way, n-not too far." We turned down one of the path's and I shifted slightly, feeling a bit uncomfortable but not uneasy, I guess after last night I wasn't sure what to say to Spike, we never really had conversations or anything before. "S-spike? Thanks, you know f-for last night..." I glanced at him and blushed slightly. "The company was...it was nice."

When she said she got the herbs from the Magic Box that morning I got a little worried. I really didn’t want it spread around that I was…having the problem I was having and how did she get the damn stuff without him knowing what they were for?

"It's ok, M-Mister Giles didn't ask me any questions, the herb's I got could very easily be used for a sleeping or concentration spell."

Thank bloody god. I was starting to warm to the idea of playing with her a might and so I really didn’t want to have to make good on my promise of ripping her head off if she told anyone.

"S-spike? Thanks, you know f-for last night...The company was...it was nice."

Yeah, she was a real cutie. I was starting to get hungry and wouldn’t you know it? Even a little horny.

“Yeah, seems we were both needing a bit of that last night,” I said, and it was actually the truth. “So, you sorted out your problem yet then?” I asked as she stopped in front of what must be her room and began to rummage around in her bag for her key.

Before I could blink Spike was over by me and touching my hand, checking it as I watched him. "I'm...I think I'm ok." I bit my lip and worried if the smell was bothering him at all, he had all these chip problems and I didn't want to add onto them by making him smell my blood

The smell of her blood was driving me sodding insane but I had to be smart about this, if I played it right maybe I could have her get the chip out of my head and - I moved a little closer to her, inhaling her scent and running my eyes over her body - maybe I could have her too.

”There, all better”

I watched as she started to work again and walked over to the bed.

"You know you c-can take your coat off, unless you h-have somewhere to be?"

I grinned behind her back, looks like I was starting to get under her skin already. Good to know I hadn’t lost my touch.

“Nowhere to be pet,” I said taking off my coat and lying it on her bed, bet she’d never had a blokes coat on her bed before; just another reason why having her would well worth it. Nothing like breaking in a virgin.

“And noone to be there with. But then I think you and I have that in common at the moment, don’t we?”

He pulled his jacket off and laid it on my bed, making me smile slightly that he felt good enough to get comfortable here. He always seemed to wear that jacket like armor and it was refreshing to see him disgard it for a moment.

Looking back up at him, I nodded softly. "Yeah, I...I know how that is." I smiled and laughed a bit. "I guess we do ha-ave something in common." Turning back around I started grinding up the herbs again, humming softly to myself till I noticed Spike sit down on the floor next to me. Even with his jacket off he smelled like leather and smoke; it wasn't an unpleasent scent either.

"Hopefully we can do this without s-something happening this time." I turned and smiled at him, watching as he watched me intently as I worked on adding the oil to the mix. "I know it won't taste so good but you c-can always take it with water or something else."

"Yeah, I...I know how that is.I guess we do ha-ave something in common."

“Probably more than you know, love,” I said. “Just it’s not on the surface is all.”

“Think that’ll be with something else, pet,” I said, smiling slightly as I watched her mix the herbs. It did smell bloody foul, but as long as it got rid of the dreams - now that I couldn’t get rid of the subject of them after all - I didn’t give a toss.

“So,” I said leaning back and looking at her thoughtfully. “You spoken to your girl since that party that wasn’t?” I asked gently, this was the best time to try and get some info out of her that I could work with, while she trusted me a little. “”Cause it’s not good to leave these things for too long, believe me I know.”

“Sounds okay to me, but don’t do anything you don’t want to do. Bloody god knows I don’t deserve it,”I opened my mouth to speak, licking my bottom lip and trying to find the right words to tell him that everything would be ok; but no words came out
