"Why does everyone think we're gay?" Dean asked as he stretched out on the squeaky bed he was sure was going to swallow him whole like in that movie that one time...
The question had been asked before, over and over again since he'd picked up Sam at Stanford and convinced him to carry on the 'family business'. Saving people, hunting things. It was a legitimate question, people kept thinking they were some weird ass married couple.
Did they look like a married couple? No. They looked like brothers, damnit. That was just wrong in ways he didn't even want to fathom.
"Over-compensation," Sam answered absentmindedly as he flickered through websites on his laptop.
Dean grumbled something rude and Sam snorted. "Dude, come on. The macho bullshit kind of comes off like over-compensation. Maybe if you shaved once and a while, or listened to something from this decade..."
Sam ducked as a boot came flying at his head. "At least I don't like dolls, bitch," was Dean's clever comeback.
"Jerk."
