i like books =)
so of course, I don't have any original poetry to add here because of course, i haven't felt inspired in weeks. but i have ranted about that in the past, so i wont even bother starting that now.
I'm now taking Women's Health in place of spanish. it is going to be a joke. which is fantastic =). right now i'm catching up on the class reading, because as you all know, i actually read. we are reading the book Speak. and i'm actually really enjoying it. the plot is simple, and because it is about a high school freshman it is a bit below me. but certain individual sentences are written beautifully---and some of it really hits home.
"I bet they'd be divorced by now if I hadn't been born. I'm sure I was a huge disappointment. I'm just like them--an ordinary drone dressed in secrets and lies. I can't believe we have to keep playacting until I graduate. It's a shame we can't just admit that we have failed family living, sell the house, split up the money, and get on with our lives. Merry Christmas."
yes, it is an exaggeration of what I feel. I just really appreciate the reality. hope you do to.
