On Saturday D. and I wound up at Mission San Jose due to a confluence of disparate circumstances that foiled our original plans and forced us to scramble to find an alternative place to go at the last minute. On Saturday, after doing a couple of errands in San Francisco, D. and I took a tour of Mission Dolores, where we saw the original mission, the basilica and the cemetery and garden, and I took some pics.
Outside the mission, on Dolores St., there is a statue of the Virgin Mary where people leave offerings.
